In Focus Fellowship

The nine-month In Focus Artist Fellowship program brings six fellows of Jamaican descent — artists, curators, and writers — into dialogue with the broader art world through professional mentorship and workshops with our cultural partners.

During the nine-month program, which runs from September through May, fellows work in cohorts on a collaborative project documenting their exchange, presenting in the form of webinars, digital exhibitions, or essays. The resulting projects are shared with JAS members, cultural partners, and sponsors at the end of the program.

Fellows receive a stipend to support their participation in the program.

Potential participants are invited to apply by committee and guest jury nomination. Applications open in May.

Awardees are announced in June.
